This is a very beautiful place with fairy magic and glamor. The fabulous beauty of the spring and the rocks through which water has hollowed out its bed is depicted in many stories. At these sites you expect to see a barefoot fairy who goes into the cold water and steps on a stone to comb her hair with a bone brush.
Pagan and Christian traditions come as one by the spring. It was believed that water was healing and that is why people would tie red threads on the tree branches around. They believed this would bring them good health. There are also remains of burnt candles which were homemade of dark beeswax. The Virgin Mary was worshiped here by Christians. At places like this one becomes stronger and breathes more deeply.
